Job summary

The North Florida/South Georgia Gainesville VA Healthcare System's Dental Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Dentist (Oral Surgery)

The Dentist provides quality patient care in collaboration with other health care professionals

The incumbent will perform specific duties within his/her approved scope of practice

Other duties and responsibilities include - but are not limited to:
Be experienced and competent in all phases of OMS including but not limited to dentoalveolar surgery and complex dental extractions - treatment of orofacial infections - treatment of orofacial trauma - preprosthetic surgery - placement of osseointegrated implants - diagnostic procedures consistent with the practice of OMS - surgical treatment of oral and maxillofacial pathosis -.

• Must be proficient in assessment- diagnosis- treatment and post-treatment care in all the above areas

• Must be trained and competent in providing IV moderate sedation . Must be certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS
