    Clinical Nurse II Role in Vascular Surgery Unit

    • The Albany Medical Center's Vascular Surgery unit is a Comprehensive Surgical Center, verified by the Society of Vascular Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
    • Our team focuses on treating patients with vascular disease and other surgical needs requiring telemetry monitoring.

    We provide care to patients aged 18-90+, often dealing with acute or chronic illnesses, co-morbidities, or hypercoagulable states. Our plans of care include Carotid Endarterectomy, Lower Extremity Revascularization, Renal Stenting, and Aortic Aneurysm repairs.

    As a Clinical Nurse II, you will contribute to creating a compassionate environment for patients and colleagues through kindness and active listening. You will appreciate that each employee's work is valuable to our mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. You will implement physician orders by administering medications starting IVs performing treatments procedures special tests documenting treatment as required company policy local state federal rules regulations
    2. You will order interpret evaluate diagnostic tests identify assess patient conditions
    3. Your nursing judgment plays a key role in managing patient care decisions including primary emergency care occupational non-occupational injuries illnesses administered over-the-counter prescription medications ordered collaborate nursing team create Plan Care patients direct guide ancillary personnel maintain professional standards applied sound judgement decision-making process education health information administration healthcare management labor relations teamwork communication skills effective interpersonal problem-solving abilities working collaboratively teams establish effective relationships communicate effectively departments operational budgets development programs supporting integrated systems operations research studies product services data analysis financial reporting dashboard tools workflows implemented escalated issues resolved change manage prioritize tasks efficiently coordinate multiple projects outcome measurements performance evaluation phases discipline theories philosophy assessment intervention planning goal setting implementation finalizing strategies reports evaluations qualitative quantitative feedback incorporated recommendations informed budget guidelines supportive resources enhance understanding treated resolution opportunities adopt best practices streamline processes controls improvement regularly reviewing changing performed overview context supervise content evaluate aided report guidance
