    is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides innovative programs, cultural involvement, and services to artists, arts organizations, educators, youth, and the general public – RiverPlace is for everyone, bringing people together to share, inspire, nurture, educate, and enjoy arts and culture.

    It will be as much of an event center as an arts and culture center.
    Position Overview

    The Communications & Marketing Director is responsible for oversight and leadership of all Warroad RiverPlace communications and marketing, including website, social media and digital media, marketing, box office and press releases.

    As a member of the Center's senior leadership team this employee assists in the development, communication, and implementation of organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

    Responsibilities
    ·

    Responsible for the development of the organization's branding, internet, and web strategies.
    ·

    Manage and update website content as needed.
    ·

    Ensure communications and advocacy campaigns are integrated across media, email, social, media and web properties.
    ·

    Working cross-departmentally, create strategy and lead response for crises communications and issue management.
    ·

    Coordinate production of affiliate marketing materials to ensure consistent quality, image branding and graphic presentation.
    ·

    Coordinate content of all external and internal communication and marketing materials with respective departments to ensure consistency.
    ·

    Supervise, coordinate, and proactively direct media relationships, including public relations and advertising.
    ·

    Maintaining the organization's photo and video resources, including cataloguing images.
    ·

    Continuously evaluating, fine-tuning, and evolving Warroad RiverPlace marketing and communications efforts.
    ·

    Interactions required with community, local regional and national media.
    ·

    Responsible for ticketing, box-office systems integrated with marketing and web site.
    ·

    Assist with development and fundraising strategic objectives.
    ·

    Other duties as assigned.
    Desired skills and qualifications
    ·

    Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
    ·

    Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout.
    ·

    Experience in management of wide variety of platforms, website, digital video and all social media.
    ·

    Strategic thinker and executer, working with and through your team.
    ·

    Relationship builder.
    ·


    Ability to articulately explain Warroad RiverPlace vision, mission, work and values: represent the organization to external audiences, especially the press.

    ·

    Knowledge of video and picture editing software.
    ·

    Experience working as a strong team member across multiple disciplines and teams, both internally and externally.
    ·

    Excellent communication abilities, including oral, written, listening and presentation skills.
    ·

    Development and fundraising experience desired, but not essential.
    ·

    Strong people/interpersonal skills.
    ·

    Detail oriented.
