    Summary



    The incumbent is a Registered Nurse (RN) who serves as the Systems Redesign (SR) Coordinator in Quality & Performance Management (Q&PM) Service at Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS). The SR Coordinator is a full-time professional nurse who works under the supervision of the Chief, Q&PM.

    The SR Coordinator provides direct analytical and technical support in managing and coordinating administrative and clinical activities of GCVHCS's SR Program. The SR Program spans 250 miles to cover four additional Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC's) from Biloxi, Mississippi to Panama City, Florida. In addition, the SR Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development of short and long-range program goals to provide Veterans effective and efficient high-quality care. The SR Coordinator provides oversight and execution of administrative policies, programs, and operations for SR. The incumbent ensures that clinical and administrative processes, systems, and programs are designed in the most efficient manner possible to meet both internal and external customer expectations to include Lean management and advanced clinic access. The SR Coordinator responsible for supporting and assisting in analyzing management information requirements to develop program and administrative reporting systems to include other duties include but are not limited to:

    • Gathering, collecting, compiling, and analyzing a variety of statistical data in support of SR.
    • The incumbent will utilize Lean Management and SR strategies to improve quality, effectiveness, and safety.
    • The incumbent will identify gaps in processes or services and barriers to success in achieving the goals and mission of the Health Care System (HCS). The incumbent coordinates internal review systems to ensure that both clinical and administrative activities are following agency, accrediting, and regulatory requirements.
    • The incumbent compiles evaluation reports used to improve healthcare delivery and reviews analyses and recommends remedial actions.
    • The incumbent works closely with the Chief, Q&PM, in managing quality and performance improvement data related to SR.
    • The incumbent establishes and maintains database information used for the development of SR projects and indicating trends of patients.
    • The SR Coordinator handles issues related to SR and prepares communication in response to inquiries and matters related to SR, performance improvement, wait lists, wait times, and patient flow.
    • The incumbent will act as the liaison with persons and groups within and outside of GCVHCS for SR matters.
    Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
