Job SummaryForcht Group of Kentucky is hiring a full-time HousekeeperThis person will be responsible for maintaining several commercial properties in the Hamburg area of Lexington, KY and should have prior working experience in a housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial position in a commercial setting.
This person will maintain commercial establishments and keep them in a clean and orderly manner.1st Shift / Flexible Scheduling7AM to 4PM, 8AM to 5PM, or similar.
Full-time, 40 hours/weekCompetitive wages, comprehensive benefits package, and more Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
Cleans rooms, hallways lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
Remove debris from parking areas and walkways.
Replenish supplies such as bathroom items and breakroom items.
Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
Prepare rooms for meetings, and arrange decorations, media equipment, and furniture for social or business functions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Three (3) years prior working experience in commercial cleaning services role.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to perform multiple job functions and tasks with minimum supervision.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with other employees, management, visitors, outside contractors, and the general public.
Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.
Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
