    Position Overview

    Valley Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced

    Resource Registered Nurse (RN)

    to support multiple units including

    Emergency Department (ED), Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg), and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) .
    This

    float position

    requires a highly skilled RN who is flexible, confident, and able to work independently in a

    small rural hospital environment . The nurse will assist with admissions, transfers, and direct patient care while supporting different departments as needed.
    Schedule


    Shift:
    12-Hour Nights

    Hours:
    36 hours guaranteed weekly

    Weekend Requirement:
    Every other weekend

    On-Call:
    None
    Compensation


    Hourly Range:
    $31.00 – $43.00 (based on experience)

    Annual Salary Range:
    $64,480 – $89,440 (based on 40-hour week)

    Relocation Assistance:

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide

    professional nursing care

    across ER, Med-Surg, and PCU units
    Perform comprehensive

    head-to-toe assessments and reassessments
    Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
    Administer medications following

    six medication rights
    Assist physicians with procedures and treatments
    Interpret

    cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmias

    according to ACLS protocols
    Manage

    hemodynamic monitoring, fluid balance, and electrolyte management
    Develop and revise individualized

    patient care plans
    Educate patients and families regarding treatments and care plans
    Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
    Required Qualifications

    Minimum 2 years of RN experience
    Experience in

    Emergency Department, Med-Surg, and PCU
    Ability to

    float between departments

    and adapt quickly
    ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
    NH RN License or Compact License

    (must be in hand at submission)
    COVID-19 Vaccination Required
    Additional Requirements

    Must be comfortable working in a

    small rural facility
    Strong ability to

    work independently and manage multiple patient needs
    Willingness to assist with

    transfers, admissions, and cross-unit support
    PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire
    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in

    rural or critical access hospitals
    Strong

    multi-unit clinical experience

    across ED and inpatient settings
