    We have an outstanding career opportunity for anAccounting Managerto join a leading Company located in theFalls Church, VAsurrounding area.

    Responsibilities :

    • Department Oversight
    • Oversee the development, training, and performance of the Accounting team to ensure work is performed in an efficient, timely, accurate, and knowledgeable manner
    • Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes
    • Assist with financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job cost accounting, general ledger, payroll, and cash flow management
    • Evaluate departmental performance and adjust where needed to ensure the department meets overall goals and objectives
    • Participate in staff quarterly check-ins and annual reviews
    • Provide input on strategic planning initiatives with suggested approaches to short-term and long-term growth strategies
    • Project Accounting
    • Ensure monthly owner requisitions are entered and audited in Sage 300/ Procore
    • Analyze owner change orders, back charges, and award process in Procore/Sage 300
    • Analyze commitments and subcontract change orders processes from Procore into Sage 300
    • Analyze monthly Procore cost to complete reports
    • Prepare direct cost entries, as needed
    • Assist with strategic planning/forecasting of project financials
    • Conduct periodic reviews for Accounts Payable compliance
    • Ensure that the Project Accountants and their PMs are meeting on a regular basis to produce accurate and timely CTC reports
    • General Accounting
    • Administer 3rd party payroll and corporate credit card/expense management software
    • Oversee Sage/Procore systems integrity by managing all accounting issues, processing problems, and reporting requests
    • Procore Analytics/Power BI Reporting and Administration
    • Assist with the setup and processing of vendors and contractors
    • Reconcile daily cash report
    • Monthly WIP Preparation and review
    • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
    • Prepare and maintain overhead budget planning and actual reports
    • Participate in external insurance and state audits
    • Participate in financial statement audits
    • Assist with maintaining multi-state business licenses
    • Complete special projects as needed

    Basic Hiring Criteria :

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferred
    • Minimum 10 years of Project Accounting experience with some leadership responsibilities
    • Construction industry experience required
    • Strong knowledge of Excel required
    • Experience with Sage and Procore preferred
    • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills required
    • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and exercise discretion and independent judgment
