Skills: A minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience with EP & structural heart experience is required.

Overview:

As a Cath Lab Tech, you will work under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Cardiology, performing a variety of technical procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in applying and prescribing ionizing radiation for radiological procedures. You will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic fluoroscopic angiographic procedures, coronary and peripheral interventions, and Electrophysiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing diagnostic procedures, interventions, and Electrophysiology procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Prepare and monitor patients pre and post-procedure, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Participate in equipment maintenance and supply management.
• Proficient in CPR and emergency equipment usage.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain sterile technique.
• Operate equipment and assist physicians during procedures.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM -04:00 PM, with occasional on-call duties after hours and weekends as necessary.

Education:

• Graduate of a CAHEP-accredited CVT program or completion of a 2-year Radiologic Technology training program approved by AMA.
• For Radiologic Technology program graduates: CRT and Fluoroscopy are required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience with EP & structural heart experience is required.
• For CVT program graduates: Any one of the following credentials required: RCIS, or RCES credentials from CCI; or CEPS certification from IBHRE.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
