- Scheduling appropriate medical and cardiac clearances.
- Scheduling all surgeries, invasive and non-invasive procedures to meet the physicians' needs and to ensure smooth flow, efficient progression of scheduled cases.
- Coordinates appointments for patients with other physicians and tasks as required.
- Provides patient counseling on surgeries, including instructions for before and after surgery.
- Maintains doctor's daily schedules and meetings.
- Rescheduling office hours due to change in surgeries and clinics.
- Supports Front Desk staff with Patient Registration, answering telephones, billing, and other duties as necessary.
- Assists with patients during office hours, disability forms, insurance authorizations, and other duties, as necessary.
- Prepares charts for office visits by providing necessary documentation for physician review.
- Preparations for new diagnosis; including all appropriate appointments and documents.
- Performs other related duties as required
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Three to five years of experience in a private medical office and/or outside facility required.

Job DetailsChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Access Coordinator for Surgical Oncology located at the Helen F. Graham Center in Newark, DE.
The Access Coordinator supports patient access for surgical scheduling, testing, referrals, medical and cardiac clearance, pre-op testing and review meds and health history as needed.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday, day shift hours (between the business hours of 7:30am-5:00pm)
