    **Assistant Project Manager, Retail Construction**

    at Verano Chicago, IL ****Job Summary:****

    The Assistant Project Manager, Retail Construction is responsible for the execution of new construction projects, including the overall budget, schedule, and quality of construction projects at our various sites from bidding through closeout. They will support the Retail Construction and Design teams on builds nationwide.

    ****Essential Duties and Responsibilities:****

    Manage internal and external resources from project start to completion, communicate updates to all stakeholders, and maintain appropriate timelines, quality, and budgets

    Manage Schedule, communications, budgets and quality of work at multiple construction sites

    Capabilities of Reviewing plans and specifications

    Manage Architects, Engineers and General Contractor through all parts of Design, Permitting and Construction

    Perform accurate and complete project estimates and durations

    Knowledge of building codes and other legal restrictions

    Review Contract documents and scope verifying all areas of work are covered and meet Owner Specifications

    Attend weekly Progress meetings ensuring budget and schedule are maintained

    Experience to create, format and maintain Excel Spreadsheets and Project Trackers

    Provide weekly job cost reporting to Owners, Executive Team and Accounting

    Work effectively and efficiently work all departments

    Procure and Coordinate all Owner Supplied Vendors and Equipment

    Oversee all Project Documents

    Maintain compliance with State Laws, Policies and Regulations

    Provide data for generation of all General Contractor documents including payment terms, schedule of values, insurance and monthly billing requisitions

    Travel to job sites as required verifying monthly billing requisitions are equal to project status

    Evaluate Start and Completions times and staffing requirements

    Manage Change orders to ensure project remains on budget and on schedule

    Manage and direct engineering personnel, vendors, sub-contractors and inspectors to resolve problems

    Assess project risks and issues, providing solutions where applicable

    Assign tasks to internal team and assist in maintaining completed objectives with other departments

    Perform other duties as assigned

    ****Minimum Qualifications:****

    Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field

    3 years of experience in a related role required

    Ability to travel up to 50% annually

    Developing project management skills with understanding of construction project management

    Able to develop excellent client relations, client management and consultation skills

    Highly organized with strong research, organizational, and analytical skills

    Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills

    Basic understanding of accounting principles

    Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Ability to prepare, track, and manage project scopes, costs, and schedules

    Familiarity with architectural/engineer drawings, space planning concepts, furniture systems, ancillary products, and technical systems

    Strong software competency: Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, Procore

    Must be 21 years of age or older to apply

    Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 10 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.     Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
