Dress the patient's procedural sites and assist in the placement of compressive ace bandages and/or compressive stockings following physician ordersPost procedure, clean, stock and maintain equipment & instrument according to company guidelinesDispose of waste properlyAdhere to all infection control, universal precautions and safety policiesUtilize appropriate customer service skills during interactions with patients, physicians visitors, staff, and other personnelAttend periodic team meetingsClean and restock procedure roomsMaintain inventory of surgical equipment so that the center does not run out of surgical supplies but also does not oversupply the centerEnsure to upload all packing slips to the team siteMaintain accurate records related to receipt of medical supplies and assure amounts received agree with related packing slipsAssist in counting of physical inventoryTrain new Surgical Tech staff as neededWork together with the team members at the center(s) to reach center goalsAssist in community events CVR sponsors as neededOther duties as necessary to achieve goalsRequirements:
Minimum Requirements:Must be able to travel to both Columbia and Glen Burnie ClinicsMinimum of 1 year of previous experience in the medical field requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredCertification as a Surgical Technologist (CSA/CST), Medical Assistant (CMA), or Nursing Assistant (CNA) strongly preferredSuccessful Completion of Medical Assistant, Surgical Technologist, Nursing Assistant, or related Program strongly preferredMust have reliable transportationQualifications:Excellent clinical skillsMust have a strong work ethicExcellent customer service by being sensitive to patients' needs and feelingsDedicated to follow-through and resultsVery detail-orientedFlexibility and adaptability as it relates to schedules, responsibilities and prioritiesKnowledge of physician medical practices as a whole preferableThe ability to interact with, support, and influence positively the behavior and activities of patients, physicians and staff/co-employeesMust be an exceptional listenerStrong organizational skillsThe ability to work independently and as a cooperative member of a team
