    TITLE: Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assist.

    DEPARTMENT: OPS

    REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager

    Hours: Monday - Friday; 8AM-5PM / 60 minute unpaid meal break

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include- but not limited to:

    The job of Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant has been established to provide support to warehouse operations between locations. Specific responsibilities include transporting orders to the necessary locations, picking up orders, safe operation of vehicles, loading and unloading orders, warehouse organization, and general plant cleaning.

    BASIC REQUIREMENT: Requires basic mathematical proficiency, the ability to clearly communicate in spoken and written English. Punctuality and strong work
    ethic is essential. Must have a current Driver's License in good standing and insurability, Forklift Certification to be completed on site.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Delivers product to Salt Lake location using company trucks (Up to 5 pallets, 10,000 pound net weight. Trucks are 26,000 GVWR).
    • Picks up required raw materials from local vendors.
    • Loads and unloads delivery trucks.
    • Prepares materials to transfer between locations for production.
    • Maintains delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, cleaning, fuel, etc.) in order to maintain safe use of the vehicle and records in truck log books.
    • Maintain records (properly document pick-ups and deliveries).
    • Performs all functions within the scope of warehouse to assist cleaning and maintaining warehouse.
    • Securely transports items (e.g records/files, supplies, materials, etc.) for the purpose of receiving and/or delivering materials on both scheduled and unscheduled pickup delivery routes.

    SKILLS: Specific skill based competencies are required to satisfactorily perform all required job functions. This includes:

    • Adhering to Safety Practices
    • Understanding proper use of equipment used in warehouse operations
    • Standard Operating Procedures as applicable
    • Maintain accurate records.
    • Inventory management and cycle counts

    KNOWLEDGE:

    • Basic Math
    • Ability to understand written procedures
    • Ability to understand multi-step written and oral instructions
    • Basic Vehicle Maintenance
    • Safety Practices and Procedures

    ABILITY:

    • Required to schedule activities, collect data and use basic job-related equipment.
    • Must be flexible and able to work with others.
    • Problem solving
    • Ability to meet deadlines and schedules
    • May be required to work in inclement weather

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Ability to move/lift up to 100 lbs.
    • Requires Current UT DL and demonstrated insurability.

    OTHER FUNCTIONS:

    • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work.
