    Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
    The Cloud Engineer is responsible for supporting the IT needs of the company, as they relate to cloud operations. This position will manage end-to-end AWS cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will support all infrastructure (including computer, network, storage, and security) and automation requests/incidents. Create and manage repositories for reusable assets/artifacts.

    Create, maintain, and manage the required environments (Dev, QA, Prod) to ensure seamless cloud application development, integration, and service delivery.

    The Cloud Engineer will also be responsible for creating and updating infrastructure documentation, systems assessments and reporting results.

    The Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with other members of the team to support the overall mission of the company and the end users' ability to achieve that mission.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


    Participates in system design planning, review, and implementation to create enterprise solutions built on AWSProvides general and routine maintenance support including installation, patching, configuration, backups, and updatesRecommends modifications to systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance for delivering application and infrastructure in the cloudResponsible for participating in IT change management and asset management processesMaintains documented procedures for InfrastructureCollaborates with team members, developers, and software vendors to design, implement and test systemsRequires occasionally working during non-business hours and on weekendsParticipates in on call rotationIs accountable on the use of services, handling of sensitive data, and resolving incidents and requests in compliance with FFIEC regulationsCreates and updates systems documentation, performing systems assessments, and reporting resultsContributes to research and evaluation and build out of new enterprise technologiesStays current with advances in technologiesPerforms other duties as assignedExperience & Education:The successful candidate will possess operations experience and skills, leadership expertise, analytical and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.


    Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
    Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)5+ years of progressive experience as an Infrastructure EngineerTechnical certification in AWS, Microsoft, or VMware highly desirableExperience with AWS within the last yearKnowledge of networking fundamentals and network requirements for a hybrid cloud environmentExperience with infrastructure automation tools such as AnsibleExperience working within Agile software development methodologyExperience with Linux server operating systemsAbility to generate and maintain technical documentation is requiredExperience with administering and troubleshooting performance of recent SQL server versions within the last 2 yearsSkills &

    Abilities Required:
    Knowledge and understanding of IT concepts, best practices and proceduresSelf-motivated with the ability to work individually or in a teamAbility to leverage tools to perform day-to-day administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration (such as backup, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring)
