    Job Summary. My client is an administrative team ensures that our commitment to stakeholders is reflected in all operations. The Accounting Manager would supervise, track and evaluate the day-to-day activities of the technical accounting department.

    Supervision. The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Controller. The Accounting Manager supervises the tasks and work product of the Staff Accountants.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Manage and improve month end close process, to drive faster, more accurate and complete monthly, quarterly and year-end closing, including the review of journal entries, account reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

    Review P&L and Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis for accuracy and timeliness

    Validate AR balances and perform AR reconciliations and analyses on a monthly basis

    Collaborate with outsourced consulting firm to ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements and reports, review financial metrics, and cash flow forecasts

    Assist with financial statement audit, ESOP audit, bank collateral audit, and Workers Comp audit

    Prepare and manage schedules, supporting documents, and variance analyses for management.

    Provide accounting support to corporate finance staff as needed

    Prepare quarterly and annual information returns: Forms 941, DE9, DE9C each quarter. Forms 1095C, 1099R, 1099Misc, W2s, property tax, etc. annually.

    Prepare ad hoc analyses as requested by the Controller

    Review and recommend changes and improvements to financial and accounting policies, processes, and procedures to meet internal requirements.

    Support generation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts

    Analyze and report on budget and forecast vs. actual variances for inclusion in the monthly financial package

    Support and review the work of the staff accountants on the team

    Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

    Ability to work overtime during peak periods.

    Occasional lifting up to ten lbs.

    Must be able to work in a climate controlled, office environment.

    Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties.

    Hearing must be good to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties.

    Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary.

    Sitting for extended periods of time.

    Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks.

    Knowledge, Skill, and Experience

    Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

    Minimum Experience Required: 7+ years of relevant work experience; preferably with at least 2 years working outside of public accounting

    Skills Required:

    Fluent in English and able to write coherent, grammatically correct sentences and paragraphs in English

    Flexible and able to modify approach to tasks based on the preferences of stakeholders and the unique demands of each situation.

    • You must have:

    Strong understanding and working knowledge of GAAP; CPA a plus

    Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook

    Ability to identify problems, drive analytical problem solving, and make recommendations for improvements

    High attention to detail and accuracy

    Ability to participate in, plan, and execute projects

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Strong problem-solving skills

    A willingness to continue learning

    Ability to direct and supervise processes

    Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and standards.

    Preferred Education/Experience

    • CPA
    • ESOP experience a plus
    • Preferred experience with Sage Intacct
