We are looking for Life Insurance Underwriter - Remote / Telecommute for our client in Springfield, MA

Job Description:

Pay Range $50hr - $55hr

Skills:

• Proven success of underwriting in a fast-paced work environment.
• Over (USD)1M approval authority.
• Life insurance underwriting experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of risk selection (medical, non-medical, financial).
• Experience with behavioral interview techniques and/or data science model tools to arrive at the best offer first in a third party underwriting environment.
• Ability to think critically, problem solve using data to drive toward resolution
• Positive, inclusive, agile, and collaborative mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 5 years underwriting experience (most current 2+ years on life insurance).
• Minimum (USD)3-5 million life approval limit without second sign (all ratings, ages)
• Term and permanent life insurance underwriting.
• Knowledge of disability underwriting.
• Third party distribution, banks or wire house underwriting experiences.
• Reinsurance experience.
• Industry exams completed, i.e. ALU 101, 201, 202, LOMA, ALMI, FMLI, ALU, FALU

Education:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree Preferred.
