    Job Responsibilities:

    Perform tasks with moderate supervisionStudies blueprints, sketches, drawing and specificationsSamples part to determine critical dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and set-up requirementsTake Engineering drawing and create programs from CNC machine toolsDetermines the best possible procedure, sets-up machine and proficiently operates manual and CNC machining and turning centers to achieve required specificationsEfficiently set-up and operate multiple CNC machining and turning centers producing high quality partsRecall programs, determine edits and offsets and make modifications to programs as requiredConstantly monitor parts production to ensure adherence to blueprint tolerancesSelects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machinesChanges and adjusts tooling as requiredShape, sharpen, set cutter, and adjust own tools to achieve desired print toleranceSet-up bore gauges and other inspection equipmentInspects own work at each step (set-up) to enable timely continuance and ensure quality partsDemonstrates excellent productivity on a large variety of complicated parts and offers creative/innovative machining, tooling and fixturing improvement solutions to supervision to reduce production costs and improve qualityComplete all required paperwork including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movementWork safely and maintain the work are with high standards of housekeepingPerforms required Preventative Maintenance activities on machinery and/or equipment operatedPerforms the work in lower classifications when assigned, i.e., drills, saws, press brake, etc.

    Minimum of 1 year experienceE

    D or High School DiplomaRequirements:
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    CNC programming experienceKnowledge and experience of machining practices and techniquesBasic mechanical principlesShop mathematicsBlueprint readingMeasuring procedures-using precision measuring toolsStanding for long periods of time, bending, reaching sitting, medium to heavy lifting pounds several times per day, visual acuity, and hand dexterityKnowledge of Rottler Acu-Rite CNC controlsForklift operation experienceKnowledge of boring machinesWorking Conditions:
    Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8:00m. to 4:00 p.m.
