    Full Time (72 Hours Biweekly)
    Dayshift orientation, evening/night shift after orientation is completed
    Weekend/holiday/call rotation

    Provides professional nursing care at an advanced practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital.

    Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Coaches and mentors the Clinical Nurse I and II and demonstrates leadership at the point of care.

    Safely and independently administer prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions for more complex groups of patients based on assessment and plan of care.

    May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.

    Independently completes assessment and collects data on assigned patients according to policy; Develops innovative approaches to solve complex patient care issues.

    Establishes contingency plans in anticipation of unexpected events and coordinates emergency action in response to acute risk situations. Demonstrates leadership at the point of care by actively performing caring behaviors with every patient interaction.

    Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills to safely and independently administer prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions for more complex groups of patients based on assessment and plan of care.

    Provides supervision and acts as a resource person for all expected unit skills and equipment. analyzes data to make recommendations for changes in the plan of care. Acts as a resource person for other staff with proper documentation.

    Coaching and mentoring the use of EBP and Peer Nurse Review at the unit level using current professional literature and research to improve care at the bedside.

    Collaboratively works with management to monitor the level of professional practice on the unit; Serves as a problem solver to improve unit and hospital outcomes.

    Acts as coach to CNI and CNII staff for clinical issues and potential advancement opportunities.
    Variation of duties may result based on the assigned customer care unit(s). Unit based skill lists outline expectations beyond the house wide RN requirements.

    SYS-NURS-L Nursing Education Requirements Policy outlines current certification(s) required for specific areas of nursing practice and is considered to be part of the job description.

    Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).

    Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.

    Diploma Program Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Associates Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelors Degree Nursing (BSN) Preferred
