Working Pattern:
Permanent / Full Time
As the Senior Piping Engineer, you will:
Perform Lay-out studies (Brownfield and Greenfield), Materials selection, Valve and Piping component specification, technical bid evaluations for Valves and Piping Long Lead items in an EPC environment or client role.
Deliver Estimates
and CTR
development
, negotiate and conflict resolution technical deviation/queries.
Manage budgets, produce scope of work. Experience in managing budgets, setting project objectives. Creating and maintaining Piping MDR.
Planning, Progress reporting and maintaining project plan, recognising changes from Client SoR/Project Scope of work (Change management) and highlighting impacts on cost/Schedule and plan.
Managing, development and appraisal of the team/personnel, providing technical guidance and aid the development of colleagues.

Location:
Aberdeen or Glasgow – hybrid working 3 days in the office with flexibility to work from home for 2 days.
You'll have experience of:
EPC, Brownfield, and Greenfield Projects
Interfaces with other engineering disciplines
Offshore and onshore Oil &Gas business but similar transferrable industries skills will be also considered in leu of specific O&G experience.
Piping corrosion and erosion, Material standards, Material Mechanical testing and NDE and material certification is essential for the role.
Valve and piping components and relevant codes and standards (for manufacture and testing) is essential and to be demonstrable.
Generating and checking calculations against design codes and best practice.
Specific piping drawings requirements/presentation, Working experience of 3D and 2D CAD Software's, Knowledge of Design application/CATS&SPEC.

Qualifications
Degree qualified or HND/HNC in Engineering, Mechanical or Offshore preferable
Knowledge, understanding of UK statutory requirements such as pressure equipment regulation (PER), PED as Safety case regulations would be essential for the role.
Piping design code (ASME B31.3) is essential, Knowledge of pipeline design code (Like BSI PD8010) and wellhead (API 6A) would be preferrable.
Having offshore BOSIET, MIST and medical are preferred for the role with experience of site surveys for condition assessments, commissioning assistance or dimensional and utility interface reviews, be able to write survey scope of work and Survey reports
