- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer systems engineering, preferred. Master's degree is a plus
- Minimally 7 years' experience in a systems engineer position
- Hands-on experience with Schneider Modicon and Allen-Bradley Micrologix. Experience with Rockwell (ideally, both new and old platforms.)
- Strong ability to work independently

- Documentation skills with strong attention to detail

The Role:
Our site in San Luis Obisposite is seeking a senior level Controls Systems Engineer to join our team
At our San Luis Obispo site, we manufacture gas purification skids that provide ultra-high purity gas to various industries such as semiconductors, life sciences, research institutions, and most recently energy and transportation sectors. These units are assembled locally from parts that come from all over the world, and some that are proprietary to Entegris. Each unit is custom-made to satisfy the customers' needs. The final product is controlled by PLC-based control systems.
The control systems team is responsible for designing the control system, sourcing the components, installation supervision, application programming, testing & validation, troubleshooting of issues, documentation, and continuous improvement.
This position requires some travel (about 10%), for offsite training and occasionally servicing customers. This position is an on-site role, with occasional work-from-home ability.
