    POSITION: Terminal Operations Agent (PT)

    SALARY: $16.50 per hour

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Facilitate the safe andefficient transit of passengers through the airport terminal facilities.Coordinate all terminal facilities so they are ready for airline usage. Provideservice and assistance to all airport customers. Conduct daily inspections of airportcommon areas, facilities and equipment and take appropriate corrective actionas required. Provide assistance to airline representative regarding common usefacilities to include ticket counter, gate, baggage carousel assignments andassist with crowd control. Coordinate public safety and security in all airportareas. Provide customer service assistance, including foreign languagetranslation assistance, to the traveling public as needed. Respond to incidentsinvolving airport customers, facilities, and lost items. Prepare facilities forflight activity including restocking common facilities, assisting with paperstock deliveries, setting up queue lines for flight check-ins, etc. Maintain acourteous and professional attitude in dealing with customers and employees.Perform other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school graduate or equivalent and two (2) years of customer service experience, preferably in a tourism or airline related industry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
    • Effective oral and written communications skills, high degree of proactive/reactive abilities and strong customer service skills required. Multi-lingual skills desired.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, follow instructions, basic keyboarding skills and operate a two-way radio.
    • Florida driver's license required.
    • Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts to include early morning, late evenings, holidays and weekends.
