    Overview

    Bergmann, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is currently seeking a Senior Landscape Architect - Project Manager to contribute to their team in Rochester, NY.

    The landscape architecture team, comprising licensed and registered professionals with LEED accreditation, provides a multidisciplinary approach to each project. Their strategies complement public project environments, encompassing all aspects of landscape design, bidding document preparation, and construction administration.

    The team collaborates with architects, planners, and other professionals to specify amenities, plant materials, and hardscape features, striking an aesthetic balance between project requirements and the natural environment. Barrier-free designs incorporate accessible features enabling everyone to participate in created spaces.

    Responsibilities

    Collaborate with the Landscape Architecture team on planning and design aspects of landscape and civil/site development projects, including specification writing, construction document detailing, and cost estimate preparation.

    Contribute to business development by leading project teams in creating proposal and presentation materials for Landscape Architecture lead projects.

    Research zoning regulations, precedents, and agency regulations related to proposed projects and assist with submissions to various agencies.

    Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partnering organizations.

    Lead quality assurance and control efforts for Landscape Architecture-related projects as needed.

    Mentor and coach staff to enhance professional growth, productivity, and skills.

    Perform field inspections of landscape and civil/site-related construction to ensure compliance with specifications and construction documents upon request.

    Participate in initial project setup, progress, and detailing of landscape architecture and civil/site plans utilizing AutoCAD and Land F/X.

    Maintain awareness of project deadlines, dates, and budgetary guidelines.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture.

    5-8 years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture and Civil/Site development.

    Licensure/Certification: Registered Landscape Architect preferred.

    Project management, business development, and client-facing experience.

    Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and practices in producing quality technical plans, details, and specifications.

    Familiarity with plant materials, design materials, and tools involved in site-related structure construction.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D/LandF/X.

    Proficient in SketchUp/Photoshop/Illustrator for graphic presentations.

    Working knowledge of MS Office.

    GPS/GIS experience a plus.
