Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Co-Op from July 2024 to December 2024.

As an intern for the Electrical Engineer team at Alert Innovation, you will join the electrical engineering bot team, helping with the manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting and deployment of all electrical systems within the Alphabot.

The electrical engineering team is responsible for the full lifecycle design of all electrical systems in the bot from concept to full production and obsolescence.

Due to the multidisciplinary nature of robotics, this position not only requires working with electrical systems, but also with mechanical and software systems.

Every day, you will work on electrical sub-system designs, integrations, cable harnesses, PCB layouts, and frequently contribute hands-on in the lab building and debugging electrical systems, ranging from small test systems to fully integrated bots in the field.

WHAT YOU'


LL WORK ON:
Use layout and schematic tools to understand and test printed circuit boards.

Build test fixtures for electro-mechanical systems.

Build and test cable harnesses.

Run our diagnostics and other testing software to debug issues.

Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and power supplies

Familiarity working with printed circuit boards and cable assemblies.

Familiarity with Python and C.
