- Responsible for carrying out routine and non-routine maintenance and modifications on heavy commercial aircraft in an MRO environment, involving repair layout design, sheet metal work, structural repairs, and equipment operation.
- Ability to interpret and work from Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and service bulletins effectively.
- Provide guidance, training, and oversight to other team members in the execution of tasks.
- Ensuring adherence to aircraft schedules and job budgets.
- Completing complex aircraft repairs and replacements, such as wing spar or support structures.
- Performing all work according to manuals and regulations, documenting activities accordingly.
- Conducting inspections and repairs on aircraft components, including composite materials.
- Operating ground support equipment and assisting with aircraft maintenance activities.
- Complying with health and safety protocols, environmental procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in structural sheet metal repair and modification.
- Preferably completed Sheetmetal Aeronautical Tech school or similar program.
- Preferred FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in understanding aircraft structures, materials, and mechanical engineering drawings.
- Own set of tools required for the job.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction regarding aircraft maintenance tasks.
