    We are currently searching for a Software Test Engineer to provide support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

    This opportunity is a full-time position with Guidehouse, that can be performed remotely while supporting on-site researchers in Rockville, MD.

    What You Will Do

    Demonstrate curiosity and energy in designing, creating, executing, and reporting test plans
    Author test plan documents
    Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium.
    Integrate Selenium scripts with GitHub Actions.
    Determining test cases to automate or to complete manually.
    Determining the need for different types of testing: integration, functional, logical path, statistics, performance, availability, security, regression, smoke, etc.
    Assist in clarifying requirements while participating with a diverse team of experts.
    Responsible for consistent usage of testing infrastructure, policies, processes, and procedures across the development team – influencing culture for effective testing
    Provide leadership in using testing principles, including risk identification, registration, and mitigation.
    Author test status reports and inform the Product Owner as to the status and quality of software.
    Author test summary reports are to be kept under system configuration management.
    Experience with Windows and Linux server environments. Familiarity with cloud computing environments and methods

    What You Will Need

    Bachelor's Degree
    Minimum 4 years' related experience
    Experience authoring test plans, test status reports, and summary reports
    Knowledge of functional testing, test automation concepts, continuous integration, and testing web applications
    Experience with the Selenium toolset

    Experience with version control and collaborative development practices, deploying code (including GitHub Action, pull requests, and code review) using Git and GitHub.

    Demonstrated experience in test automation development, using frameworks and tools like Cucumber, Postman as well as REST/JSON APIs.
    Experience with the Postman, ReadyAPI with Groovy scripting to Test the APIs.
    Experience with software development and coding
    Experience with LINUX/UNIX and Windows
    Familiarity with cloud computing environments and methods
    Strong oral and written communication skills

    What Would Be Nice To Have

    Bachelor's in life sciences, bioinformatics, physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
    Experience with performance testing and usability testing
    Experience with Java and C#
    Experience with Python, Perl, and scripting languages


    The annual salary range for this position is $95,800.00-$143, Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
