    Our client is an international association of financial industry professionals, bringing together over 200,000 investment experts worldwide. The organization operates more than one hundred applications and is embarking on a major initiative to modernize and upgrade its systems.
    Project overview
    The Data Stream project focuses on delivering advanced data processing and analytics solutions that transform large-scale data into actionable business insights. A critical component of this transformation is the establishment of effective data governance and data stewardship practices, including clear data ownership, accountability, standards, and usage guidelines.
    Position overview
    The Change Manager will play a crucial role in driving organizational change to ensure smooth adoption of data-driven solutions, data governance frameworks, and stewardship roles, enabling sustainable business transformation and value realization. The estimated salary range for this position is from 180,000 to 220,000 USD per year. Occasional travel to client sites within the Central Virginia region is required.
    Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to support the delivery and adoption of Data Stream initiatives, including data governance and data stewardship operating models.
    • Work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards, and leadership to understand the impact of changes and identify affected groups.
    • Support the introduction and adoption of data governance policies, standards, and decision-making frameworks, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
    • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication to enhance awareness, acceptance, and commitment to new data ownership and stewardship practices.
    • Develop targeted training, communication, and support materials to build data literacy, stewardship capabilities, and governance awareness across different audiences.
    • Identify and manage change risks and resistance related to data ownership, accountability, and compliance, proactively addressing concerns to minimize disruption.
    • Coordinate with project managers and delivery teams to align change activities with project timelines, governance milestones, and data platform rollouts.
    • Measure and report on the effectiveness of change management efforts using quantitative and qualitative metrics, including adoption of governance processes and stewardship behaviors.
    • Support continuous improvement of change management, data governance, and adoption practices within the Data Stream environment.
    Requirements
    • 5+ years of experience in change management within technology or data-driven programs.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing organizational change in complex environments, preferably involving data governance or enterprise data initiatives.
    • Strong understanding of data programs, including challenges related to data adoption, data ownership, data quality, and data literacy.
    • Experience supporting the rollout of data governance frameworks, data stewardship models, or operating models is highly desirable.
    • Experience developing and executing change management, communication, and training plans.
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including working with business leaders, data owners, and technical teams.
    • Ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
    • Proficiency in change management tools and methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
