Our organization is seeking a professional Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to join our team in a non-treating role focused on assessments.

1. We are looking for an individual who will conduct comprehensive eye exams through the VA's Simplified Harmonized Assessment process. This involves assessing patients with various visual impairments and determining their eligibility for treatment under the Department of Veterans Affairs' guidelines.
2. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be able to communicate effectively with patients, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

• Please note that this position does not require any clinical duties nor do you need to diagnose patients.
  This makes it suitable for individuals transitioning into roles beyond direct patient care.


• In addition to performing comprehensive eye exams, successful candidates may also contribute to ongoing training initiatives by assisting in creating educational materials and participating in regular quality improvement activities within your division.
