    Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Information Technology Project Manager, you will use your knowledge of and experience with serving as an IT Project Manager (PM) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for various Internal and external functioning systems supporting multiple IT initiatives to optimize business results and customer experience by:

    Providing government oversight to contractors for IT projects, monitoring, and reporting on contractor performance, and existing IT contract statuses and planning and executing all facets of project management to include day-to-day management and oversight of multiple, concurrent IT projects.

    Planning and carrying out difficult and complex assignments and developing new methods, approaches, and procedures, and provides advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of IT issues and interpreting IT policies, standards, and guidelines.

    Developing status reports for projects, reviewing contractor deliverables such as requirements, design, project schedule, test documents, etc. In addition, the incumbent will ensure the scheduling of user acceptance testing (UAT), etc.

    Planning and managing IT projects to scope, schedule, and cost, as well as risk and resource management, e.g., contractor personnel and government furnished equipment (GFE) issued to contractor personnel.

    Tracking budget to ensure it does not exceed the limit for specific project.

    If there is a risk that there will be an overrun of the budget, incumbent reports this information to leadership along with a plan to mitigate the risk.

    Engage appropriate stakeholders when developing solutions in order to understand and incorporate multiple perspectives and needs. Evaluate the effectiveness of decisions and adjust future decisions as appropriate. In addition to meeting the Basic Qualifications, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications listed below.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

    Specialized experience for this position includes experience that demonstrates: 1.

    Managing computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled.

    2. Conducting system analysis and developing plans to improve existing IT or Information Technology systems and business process; 3. Developing reports, policies, and/or guidelines for IT enterprise systems management; 4.

    Overseeing assigned IT projects to ensure project management best practices and/or business best practices are applied to improve IT and business functionality; AND 5.

    Implementing web-based and client/server-based applications including cloud services, artificial intelligence and machine learning implementation and integration.
