    About the Position:
    As a Palliative Care Physician (MD/DO) at Sanitas, you will be pivotal in delivering specialized medical care to adult patients. Your focus will revolve around preventing, diagnosing, and treating various illnesses and chronic conditions, with a key emphasis on promoting holistic health and well-being.



    What You'll Do:

    • Patient Care: Conduct thorough medical examinations, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations. Develop and execute treatment plans for diverse medical conditions, coordinating care across multiple disciplines when necessary. Monitor and manage chronic illnesses, with a strong focus on preventive care and patient education.
    • Diagnosis and Treatment: Utilize diagnostic tools, medical imaging, and laboratory tests. Prescribe and oversee medications, therapies, and interventions based on evidence-based medicine and individual patient needs. Accurately diagnose medical conditions.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Communicate effectively with patients and their families. Ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.
    • Preventive Medicine: Emphasize preventive care and health maintenance; provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, vaccinations, and screenings. Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-care strategies.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans in electronic health records.

    Qualifications:
    Doctorate Degree in Medical Doctor from an accredited medical school. Completion of residency in Palliative Care within 0-2 years is recommended, along with prior experience in internal medicine. State medical license and BC/BE in Internal, Family, or Hospice/Palliative Medicine are required. Ability to travel when necessary and proficiency in English/Spanish are also recommended.


    Job Details:
    Full-time role in a healthcare setting with benefits including 401(k) with matching, dental and health insurance, malpractice insurance, paid time off, relocation assistance, and vision insurance. The primary care specialties primarily include Geriatrics and Internal Medicine.


    Work Environment:
    Palliative care services are typically administered in hospitals, private practice offices, or outpatient clinics.


    Schedule:
    Full-time position during 8-hour day shifts from Monday to Friday, with weekends off.


    Experience:
    MD/DO: 1 year (Required), Hospice & Palliative Medicine: 1 year (Required)


    Language:
    Spanish Proficiency Preferred


    License/Certification:
    MD/DO license and BC/BE certification Required


    Ability to Relocate:

    Orlando, FL: Relocation required before commencing work
