- Handles the billing, collection, and deposit of medical staff dues.
- Performs credentialing and assists with privileging delineation activities in accordance with the medical staff policies, bylaws, and rules and regulations for medical staff/advanced practice professional.
- Schedules, coordinates and attends all assigned department and committee meetings, conferences and special events in support of medical staff credentialing activities. Plans and develops supporting documentation (e.g., agendas, minutes, credentials reports).
- Maintains copies of current state licenses, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
- Initiates information collection, verification, and documentation processes for completed application per established medical staff office policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of health care setting experience.
- Associate degree in business or related field.
- Associate degree in business or related field.
- Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS).
