    The Endoscopy Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse consistently performs his/her duties demonstrating an understanding of the essential job functions as reflected in the Endoscopy Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse job description, department and hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines. Provide direct professional nursing care for assigned patients while maintaining a safe patient care environment. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Promote the health and well-being of the patient and significant other through the care continuum utilizing the nursing process.

    The Graduate Nurse will work providing patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times. The Graduate Nurse will not assume charge responsibilities.

    Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

    Previous Endoscopy experience preferred. One (1) year Critical Care experience. Managerial skills, clinical expertise, teach./instruct, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care. Clinical, managerial, communication, problem-solving, teaching skills. Independent thinker, ability to make sound judgments, ability to handle stress, ability to react to emergency and crisis situations, commitment to quality care.

    Pharmacology, asceptic technique, teaching skills, documentation.

    Current PA Practice Permit/ Registered Nurse license

    BLS and ACLS required, must be completed prior to the end of the orientation period
