- Operating oxygen equipment, including maintenance tasks and changing cylinder heads.
- Managing the suction machine and selecting appropriate equipment.
- Utilizing manual respirators.
- Knowing the location and using emergency equipment supplies.
- Handling whirlpool scales and glucose monitoring devices.
- Administering medications and managing pharmacy supplies.
- Collection and interpretation of lab specimens.
- Implementing and administering IVs.
- Carrying out seizure precautions and IV medication during seizures.
- Managing patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Documenting and billing for supplies used.
- Maintaining communication with attending physicians.
- Coordinating care planning/MDS process with the Director of Nursing Services.
- Participating in patient screening and selection.
- Following up on consultant recommendations.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Power Point.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Building effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and visitors through warm and friendly interactions.
- Completion of Nursing Degree from an accredited institution or graduate of an approved LPN program.

The role involves overseeing nursing care for patients and supervising the daily nursing tasks carried out by nursing assistants. This requires compliance with relevant regulations at the federal, state, and local level to ensure appropriate patient care as directed by the Administrator, Medical Director, and/or Director of Nursing Services.
