Experience Required: 12+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering and developing operational and maintenance plans for industrial electrical systems, preferably in renewable energy
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Develops programs to manage solar & battery storage plant productivity including: reliability, condition monitoring, performance improvement, operation and maintenanceSupports the turnover and commissioning of newly constructed plantsDelivers inputs for annual operating budgets for solar and storage related projectsEvaluates and performs analysis on solar & storage equipment health dataAssesses failure rates and expected lifetime for solar & storage componentsPerforms root cause analysis and/or validates contractor root cause analysisManages storage augmentation plans and implementation of site specific augmentation.
Develops models for solar & storage plant operational costsDevelops business cases for plant improvements and retrofitsDevelop and manage staff on the solar and storage team when additional positions are approvedMaintain and ensure work quality of the solar and storage teamDelegates and prioritizes projects and tasks for the solar and storage teamSkills & Qualifications:4-Year Bachelor Engineering Degree10 or more years of relevant technical experience; experience with solar & storage power generation requiredFundamental understanding of solar and battery storage systems design and operationExperience with the maintenance and repair of solar and battery storage systemsAbility to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and other common specifications in the electrical power industryExcellent communication skills, including ability to clearly communicate ideas to non-technical staffAbility to manage a team of engineers and meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to be self-motivated and manage technical projectsDemonstrated ability to manage priorities in a complex and dynamic environmentFor more information or to view other opportunities, visit us atPaladin Consulting is an EEOC employer.
