We are searching for a Metallurgist for the Melt Shop join our client's growing team.

Responsibilities of the Metallurgist include providing technical support to operations and sales, lead and/or assist with customer and internal corrective actions, champion processes, quality and cost improvements, assist in development of new products and/or process improvements, and disposition of non-comforming material.

Qualifications for the position include:

• Bachelor's in Metallurgy, Materials Science or a related field
• 3-5 years experience in melt shop metallurgy.
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and analytical skills
• A strong commitment to safety in all job aspects
• Desire to be "hands-on" on the floor handling process metallurgical duties
• Technical aptitude with the ability to gather, analyze and make data-driven decisions (SQL, Python, Power-BI, IBA, etc.)
• Demonstrates interest in the business and is focused on reducing costs, improve quality and/or improve efficiencies
