Job Description:
Reviews, analyzes, implements, and evaluates business systems and user needs for a technology projects at Educational Outreach and Student Services. Serves as the liaison between the business organization and the technology team. Designs solutions and writes requirements specifications, develops and executes test plans, and works with technical staff to build and implement the technology solution.
Days and Schedule: Work location is primarily at the Tempe campus; however, incumbent may be required to travel to off-campus events and other ASU campuses to perform work driving their own vehicle. This position is a Full-time position from Monday thru Friday 8AM to 5PM, evenings and weekends may be occasionally be required.
Essential Duties:
- Consults with EOSS units to conduct requirements gathering and solution design to address business needs.
- Writes business process documentation.
- Manages multiple technology projects across EOSS by preparing and maintaining implementation plans, managing project issues and ensuring project tasks are completed.
- Facilitates decision-making by communicating across project teams and functional areas; elicits requirements using interviews, requirements meetings, surveys, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.
- Applies approved project methods, standards and processes to reduce total cost of ownership by applying best practices.
- Serves as liaison between the functional project team and the technology support organization.
- Provides information to project/development teams so that solutions meet customer's needs.
- Provides expertise in software testing design and coordinate performance of tests.
- Consults with cross functional teams across the University to identify and/or develop roles specific to users and coordinates security design.
- Supports functional users in designing and developing reports.
- Supports end-user through on-call support and problem resolution, as needed.
- Creates training documentation in collaboration with internal and external development teams.
- Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and applications, ensuring smooth adoption and effective utilization.

- Experience developing business and technical specifications for IT projects.
- Evidence of effective professional written and verbal communications and presentation skills; flexible communication skills based on context and audience.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining strong, effective, and collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in work that requires attention to detail and efficiency.
- Experience in building strong professional relationships through collaborations.
- Evidence of certifications such as CBAP.
Working Environment:
- Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Work collaboratively across various departments within the University as well as with diverse populations and groups
- Use computers effectively – including inputting, reviewing and retrieving information, extended periods of viewing screen and using mouse and keyboard
- Use critical thinking to make decisions and/or analyze data
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Walk throughout campus for meetings or events, regardless of the weather
- Work collaboratively to achieve objectives
- Climb stairs in locations with no elevator, such as with the mezzanine level of the MU, or Irish Hall
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) is committed to enrolling all qualified students at Arizona State University and assisting them in their academic success. EOSS provides a broad range of services and support to students and prospective students ranging from outreach efforts with K-12 schools, orientation programs for new freshman, bridge programs to assist the transition to a university environment, and a wide variety of services, programs and activities for enrolled students. EOSS has direct responsibility for multiple departments across four campuses, some of which include the Dean of Students, University Housing, Health Services, Counseling Services, Disability Resources, the Memorial Union, TRIO programs, Sun Devil Fitness, Student Government, Student Media, Career Services, Access ASU and others.
