    Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Materials Handler 1st Shift. The core hours are 4:00 am to 12:30 pm.

    The hourly rate for this position is $ $22.39 per hour.

    What you'll do:
    • Keep workstations fully stocked with materials, thus controlling the continuous flow of products between different areas utilizing the KB cards.
    • Replenishing materials in each area, according to the production leveling schedule (Heijunka Wheel)
    • Discipline to confirm transactions after material is moved during manufacturing operations (Each transaction must be reported/written in the material transactions sheet).
    • Communicating line/area needs with supervisors: Oversee how materials and supply orders are moved and communicate this information to management.
    • Managing manufacturing inventory counts: Keeps track of the inventory during manufacturing to replenish supplies and remove waste as quickly as possible.
    • Keeps operations running efficiently.
    • Perform and report cycle counts.
    • Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
    Qualifications:

    Basic (Required):
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment
    • Certification to ride forklift truck
    • Discipline and must be able to work well in a team
    • Ability to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
    • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends

    • Technical knowledge
    • Knowledgeable about the processes and production. Understands activities specific to each workstation.
    • Communication
    • The ability to convey information between line workers and upper management is one of the most important functions.
    • Time management
    • Time management is the ability to use your time efficiently and effectively. That involves prioritizing your tasks and approaching them methodically.
