- Conduct qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship visits in the state of Georgia and around the nation with a target goal of 10-12 significant visits per month. Possibility of several overnight trips.
- Complete necessary preparation and follow up for each visit.
- Document visits in GAIL alumni/donor database with complete contact reports.
- Prepare timely, accurate, relevant, clear, concise, and compelling proposals to secure major ($25,000+) gifts in support of Franklin College priorities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Physical and Mathematical Sciences, responsible for leading the strategic development vision for prospects in this area.
- Attend Franklin prospect strategy/staff meetings and represent this area's needs in those meetings. Also, serve as the liaison with the UGA Foundation Relations team, representing all areas of Franklin College. Attend University Development staff meetings and selected University Central Development trainings.
- Work collaboratively with Faculty and Staff located in schools, colleges, and units across campus.
- Perform additional duties as assigned on football Saturdays and other special events which frequently fall on nights and weekends.
- Perform all administrative duties as needed.

Position Summary
This position is based in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and will act as a major gift officer for the college at-large. It's purpose is to raise major gifts to support the Franklin College and the University of Georgia. This incumbent will focus on gifts of $25,000 or more and will maintain a robust portfolio of current and prospective donors who can make a meaningful philanthropic investment in the College. This individual will work collaboratively with all departments and institutes of the college as well as a wide variety of constituents. An established track record in building meaningful relationships coupled with the ability to close philanthropic gifts are essential components of the position. This role will work closely with other foundation relations officers within the College and across the University to advance gift solicitation strategies. All work will be carried out in accordance with UGA Foundation policies and procedures.
