    The EHS Manager Role:

    We are looking for a highly skilled EHS Manager to join our team as we continue to grow our business. In this role, the EHS Manager will report directly to the Director of Engineering and will assist in fostering a culture of health and safety across all Precision Edge operations. The EHS Manager will also oversee all environmental policies, practices and regulations to ensure that we are in compliance with all federal, state and local requirements.     In this important role, you will be responsible for providing guidance to multiple locations within the Precision Edge organization to assist with the development and coordinate of a strategic plan for the environmental, health and safety initiatives that help minimize and eliminate those risks. You will also provide key technical leadership and guidance to all departments when required, regarding any environmental, health or safety questions/issues.

    Some of the key elements of your work in this important role would include:

    • Provides input and guidance to Plant Safety Officers and Plant Safety Committee teams.
    • Assists in accident, incident, near miss, and chemical spill investigations as needed.
    • Primary point of contact for OSHA / MIOSHA / EGLE and all other applicable federal or state health, safety and environmental agencies
    • Act as the company EHS representative with third parties, including neighboring businesses, local councils, and regulatory bodies.
    • Ensures the development, implementation and maintenance of the safety and environmental management system in compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations across all Precision Edge facilities.
    • Develop routine regulatory reports required by the various environmental permits, conduct required activities to maintain the permits and file reapplications necessary to meet business needs.
    • Coordinate all activities associated with the environmental, health and safety requirements including ergonomics.
    • Identifies company safety and environmental training needs and develops/coordinates safety training programs.
    • Work with purchasing to ensure that all hazardous waste manifests meet regulations.
    • Ensures MSDS files are maintained and available to shop personnel to support the right to know program.
    • Use risk and gap analysis to monitor safety and environmental processes and work to make improvements as needed.
    • Participate in Equipment Facility Checklists to ensure knowledge of new equipment or equipment moves.
    • Complete Monthly Management Report (MMR) detailing safety/environmental objectives, metrics, and ongoing projects
    • Serves as an emergency coordinator for all Precision Edge sites
    • Perform the duties of the Laser Safety Officer
    • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations across Precision Edge facilities.
