    The Director of Facilities & Operations will lead the design and implementation of processes, policies, and procedures to ensure beautiful and safe learning and working environments for our families, children, clients, and staff.

    In partnership with the COO, the Director also will develop the longer term operations and facilities plan and vision, including minor and major renovations, to forward our strategic priorities and potential growth.

    Facilities Management (40%)
    Oversee facilities planning and maintenance of 3 early childhood education centers and 2 administrative spaces, including outdoor space, playgrounds, and landscaping
    Evaluate and develop effective building maintenance protocols, manuals, ticket systems, etc., to ensure quality, thoroughness, and timely completion of work
    Coordinate maintenance and compliance of all building systems, including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
    Oversee emergency management plan (mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery); Oversee security systems and personnel at child-care centers
    Develop and oversee project plans for minor and major renovation projects, including overseeing architects, contractors, and other consultants and partnering with landlord
    Research and select vendors and contract services, negotiate service agreements, and oversee vendor performance to assure full compliance with service agreements
    Review monthly vendor costs and prepare budget variance analyses and forecasts
    Lead the development/oversight of leases through terms negotiation, maintenance planning, compliance and requirements, and ongoing landlord relationship development
    Develop facilities growth plan for property acquisitions, lease, and purchase, as needed
    Develop plan to increase environmental management and increase green/eco practices
    Operations (35%)
    Analyze current operational processes and performance, set goals and systems for increased efficiency and productivity, and recommend solutions for improvement where necessary
    Adhere to the organization's funding and contract compliance policies and standards and ensure that laws and regulations are followed

    Partner with the People and Culture team on new staff onboarding, including coordinating necessary paperwork, workstation and system set-up, office orientation, safety training, etc.

    Oversee workflow, contract, and management of outside IT consulting company
    Maintain inventory and allocate technology (equipment, emails, phone extensions, etc.
    Provide "guide-by-the-side" support for staff on IT issues, setup, etc.
    Oversee IT security policies and procedures, as well as cyber security coverage compliance

    Coordinate and lead monthly meetings with center-based operations and facilities staff
    Work with Senior Director of Finance and COO on budget planning and monitoring
    Minimum of 10 years of experience leading operations and facilities functions; minimum of 3 years working in operations and facilities in a school setting
    Familiarity with construction, architecture, and various systems, such as HVAC and electrical
    Strong communication skills, including negotiation and report writing
    Ability to meet required state, federal, local, and CDC standards (including but not limited to fingerprint clearance, negative TB test, First Aid, and CPR)
