    Job Summary

    This Clinical Therapist position is designed to provide 2000 hours of supervised clinical postdoctoral training in a multidisciplinary clinic environment. The completion of this program will satisfy one of the requirements to sit for the psychology licensing exam. As a Clinical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations, including adults, adolescents, children, and families.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assess and treat patients using evidence-based practices and psychotherapy methods.
    • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as crisis intervention when needed.
    • Co-facilitate psychoeducational groups and participate in community partnership projects.
    • Administer and interpret psychological tests, writing reports as necessary.
    • Maintain confidential patient files and records, adhering to regional and local policies and procedures.

    Team-Specific Responsibilities

    • Adult Team: Provide assessment and treatment services to adults in a brief therapy model.
    • Child/Family Team: Perform psychological evaluations of children, adolescents, and families, providing psychotherapeutic services as needed.
    • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Offer services to patients requiring more intensive treatment for stabilization.
    • Behavioral Medicine: Provide services to patients experiencing emotional or stress-related problems concurrent with medical diagnoses or physical symptoms.
    • Chronic Pain Management: Teach pain management skills, such as pacing, medication management, and relaxation techniques.
    • Chemical Dependency: Provide separate and conjoint treatments for family members, focusing on recovery and sobriety.
    • Eating Disorders: Treat adults, children, teens, and families with eating disorder diagnoses.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or higher required.
    • Ph.D./Psy.D./Ed.D. in Clinical, Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program by residency start date.
    • Must have received doctoral internship training at an APA-accredited or APPIC-member internship program.
    • Participate in national APPA CAS postdoctoral application process prior to applying.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations, including administering and writing up testing and assessment batteries.
    • Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming responsibilities.
    • Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.

    Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
