    American Eagle Outfitters, Inc.'s Pittsburgh, PA, office seeks a DevOps Engineer to work closely with Development, QE, and Performance Engineering teams to bring new code to production and requires someone with a strong DevOps/SysOps mindset.


    Duties include:
    (i) developing, architecting, and implementing additions to ecommerce platform as well as standalone websites and tools and solutions; (ii) maintaining integrity of ecommerce platform and auxiliary sites through proactive and reactive administration, including but not limited to oracle e-commerce platform, cloud infrastructure, database and network; (iii) automating business processes and environment creation through terraform and ansible; (iv) administering, maintaining, and tuning ecommerce application for optimal performance; (v) managing multiple environments with infrastructure as code principles; (vi) developing cloud-based solutions to meet internal and external needs for capacity and functionality; and (vii) providing business continuity on-call services for after-hours support to the website and responding to business-critical emergency situations.

    This is a hybrid office-based/work-from-home position within the United States.

    The employee can work remotely from within the United States but must be able to work in the Pittsburgh office when required with a minimum of one (1) day per week.


    Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience in a related DevOps position.

    Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for application installation and operational tasks; (ii) Developing terraform module and resource definitions to deploy cloud infrastructure; (iii) Maintenance of ATG Commerce application suite and Weblogic application server; (iv) Deployment of container-based application to GKE with ARGO CD; (v) Configuration of Build and Deployment jobs utilizing Atlassian Bamboo; (vi) Coordinating and Orchestrating code branching and merges to support release operations; and (vii) Monitoring production workloads utilizing NewRelic to identify scalability and performance recommendations

    Experience can be concurrent.
