    TYPE: Contract position; 100% in office Monday to Friday

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    As a training and development specialist specializing in logistics, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a structured training program aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of our warehouse personnel. Your primary focus will be on creating engaging training materials and establishing an efficient training system compatible with current systems in place, predominantly utilizing Excel and Google Sheets.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand training needs, objectives, and desired outcomes.
    • Develop detailed training plans and systems aligned with organizational goals and operational requirements.
    • Design engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, manuals, job aids, and hands-on exercises.
    • Utilize existing software tools such as Excel and Google Sheets to create training modules tailored to specific job roles within the logistics department.
    • Conduct training sessions for warehouse staff, ensuring content delivery is effective, engaging, and easily comprehensible.
    • Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics.
    • Continuously review and update training materials and methods to ensure relevance and effectiveness in meeting evolving business needs.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees, trainers, and management regarding training-related inquiries and issues.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Proven experience as a Training specialist or similar role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of training methodologies, instructional design principles, and adult learning theories.
    • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for creating training materials and tracking training progress.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with evolving training needs.
    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training & Development, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
    • Relevant certifications in training, instructional design, or logistics (e.g., CPTM, CPLP, CLTD) are advantageous.
