    Daily Tasks Will Include


    As integration architect helping NYS agency application development teams to architect, design/develop and implement reusable IT assets as web services and APIs.

    Administration and configurations for the NYS API Management (gateway) shared services primarily on Akana platform.

    Resolving various consumer requests (via ITSM tickets) to onboard/modify web services or troubleshoot Shared Services related issues.

    Administration of PKI keys within Akana API Management solution for user applications that require higher security.

    Ad-hoc custom web service orchestration Java/Javascript code to resolve incompatibilities in various APIs.

    Active/Passive monitoring of the security and health of the API management platform.

    Systems Architect:
    Enterprise API Management, SOA COE project


    Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.


    Expert 84+ Months Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.


    24 Months architecture and administration experience of Akana SOA Software Service Manager Suite of products, Community Manager, Network Director, Policy Manager and Lifecycle Manager or similar SOA intermediary middleware products.

    84 Months architecture and administration experience with any ESB or SOA Intermediary (Examples include DataPower, Message Broker and Perforce's Akana API Management)

    48 Months Experience in Enterprise Security Architecture including Certificate/PKI management within an SOA implementation

    84 months programming experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, and/or Microsoft .Net.
