    Technical Project Manager

    Remote role - must work PST hours

    Pay: $53-55/ hourly as W2, full benefits offered.

    Length of contract: Initially 12 months, likely to extend past that point.

    The target hiring compensation range for this role is $53-55 / hourly as a W2 employee.

    Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in a 401k plan with company match.

    This is a great role joining an established team within a major financial organization that supports Document and Content Management.

    PROJECT(S) SUMMARY / SCOPE:

    The primary focus of the engagement will be supporting a series of process improvement projects at our Client (a Credit Union), the projects will be delivered by a Pod of Project Managers (PMs) and Business Analyst (BAs) with diverse skills and experience, which will in turn report into a PMO led by senior stakeholders.

    The two initial projects that this process improvement Pod will support are:

    1) Supporting in Automation of a component our internal tech support ticketing system

    2) the build of an Operational Data Store/Message Bus.

    These two projects will be led by a PM individually, and will likely enlist the support of the BAs as well.

    Additional projects or initiatives may require support from the BAs the resource as well.

    The process improvement Pod will also have oversight from a Program Manager, who will manage the project pipeline, serve as a liaison with the leadership team, and support the PMs and BAs to ensure effective delivery.

    The Repeat Ticket Fix Service Improvement Project Manager will lead a project to improve the existing internal Ticket Service system by focusing on automating the most commonly occurring or repeating and high-volume tickets raised. This PM will manage the project, its timeline, budget, and other key delivery components.

    Role-specific Desired Experience:

    • Experience implementing/integrating/managing internal Ticket system i.e. ServiceNow
    • Experience with Tech and/or back-office process improvement engagements
    • Experience with end-to-end technology implementation projects
    • Scrum and Agile Methodologies expertise
    • Additional Requirements as needed

    The Operational Data Store/Event Handling Build Project Manager will manage the build and development of a Message Bus, a subscriber-publisher system to enable different internal systems to communicate through a shared set of interfaces. This PM will manage the project, its timeline, budget, and other key delivery component, and will likely be a multi-year project

    Role-specific Desired Experience:

    • Experience with Data architecture
    • Experience with Data lineage and Data flow management
    • Strong past experience with programming and/or API development
    • Scrum and Agile Methodologies expertise

    General description – Enterprise Project Manager

    The Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing successful completion of projects, features, and initiatives related to the various business units within the Credit Union. This includes working with people at all levels of the organization. The Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of execution, from planning through closure.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with internal competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information protection requirements.
    • Ensure appropriate project governance is in place.
    • Ensure business outcomes/objectives and project scope are defined and documented.
    • Lead the project team in the successful planning, execution, and implementation of projects from initiation through project closure.
    • work plans for complex or specialized projects, features, and business initiatives.
    • Follow the prescribed project management methodology on all projects.
    • Ensure all project artifacts are sufficiently documented and conform to audit requirements.
    • Manage project financials including creation of a budget and forecast, reconciliation of actuals against forecast, and review/approval of project invoices.
    • Create and manage resource plans for project(s).
    • Provide input to and/or review vendor SOWs/contracts and manage the activities of external (to BECU) partners and resources that may be working on assigned projects.
    • Remove impediments/clear the path for the team to work.
    • Collaborate, communicate, and manage dependencies with other teams.
    • Manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure that executive sponsors, project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members receive consistent and timely communication regarding project status, issues and risks.
    • Facilitate creation and management of release plans, go-live activities, and support.
    • Continuously improve project delivery throughout the lifecycle.
    • Facilitate project on-boarding for new team members.
    • Create a positive and collaborative work environment for project team(s).
    • Continuous improvement of Enterprise PMO processes
    • Perform additional duties, as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in business or computer science or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience required leading projects or serving in a project management type of role, or equivalent educational experience required.
    • Ability to creatively solve problems and remove obstacles from project path required.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation and project management skills required.
    • Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
    • Ability to plan, organize, schedule and implement multiple technical and business-related projects required.
    • Effective verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language required.
