- Properly manage Extruded Products Product & Applications Engineers and Chemists globally to meet all stakeholder requirements.
- Lead product development efforts to achieve five-year revenue targets, securing customer material approvals and ensuring successful validation testing.
- Guarantee all products meet stringent customer specifications and are manufacturable at optimal cost.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through the Value Driver process and collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to optimize production.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring and developing department personnel.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and product enhancement.
- Uphold compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, prioritizing employee well-being.
- Assist in defining and supporting the need for capital equipment.
- Travel to customer sites and locations as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of ten years in Automotive Engineering roles, including a minimum of five years at a Manager/Director level. (Master's in Engineering or MBA strongly preferred).
- Rubber Chemistry background required.
- Rubber & Plastic hose experience strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering fundamentals, rubber chemistry, extrusion, hose design principles, product and production processes
- Knowledgeable with Automotive OEM procedures, quality assurance techniques, and tools such as statistical process control, 8-D problem-solving techniques, product testing
- Understanding of Lean principles and organizational procedures.
