- Analyze customer complaint and 2nds data to identify significant issues by manufacturing location using pareto charts.
- Collaborate with local leadership to deploy short-term corrective actions, improve quality control procedures, and conduct audits to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain process capabilities, implement proactive controls, and optimize process efficiency to address identified issues.
- Act as primary quality liaison for major customers and suppliers, facilitating specification development, root cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with documented quality management systems and procedures.
- Adhere to reporting requirements of specific customers, including 8Ds, CARs, and other customer-specific systems.
- Champion Advanced Product Quality Planning to drive quality improvement and product validation processes.
- Develop and implement improved business procedures to enhance organizational efficiency and communication.
- Collaborate with IT to improve access to quality data and proactively identify trends to prevent issues.
- Continually improve the quality management system and ensure compliance with customer QMS, 3rd Party, and Process Audits.
- Oversee internal audits to ensure control plan adherence and data availability for root cause analysis.
- Implement workflow software to automate interdepartmental tasks and improve process efficiency.
- Provide leadership to develop and maintain quality specifications and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Participate in the startup and qualification of new equipment/processes to prevent quality issues.
- Provide necessary information to assist company leadership, supervisors, and managers in performing their job requirements.
- Lead assigned projects, manage tasks and milestones, and report progress.
- Demonstrate self-initiative and leadership.

THE JOB
The
Director of Quality is accountable for ensuring overall product quality across North American manufacturing facilities.
This role involves collaborating with leadership teams to proactively define and implement systems for process improvement and issue prevention, based on internal analysis and customer feedback.
The Director will develop and coach personnel in problem-solving and process enhancement techniques for both manufacturing and business operations, recommend test methods to assess process quality, and engage with stakeholders to advance quality planning, specification development, and product/process qualification.
