    Description

    We are looking for a skilled EEG Technician to join our team at Christiana Care Hospital!



    • Ensures accurate diagnostic results for patients of any age by recording brain impulses through EEG (electroencephalogram) following department policies.
    • Obtains relevant patient information from various sources.
    • Measures and applies electrodes using the International 10/20 System.
    • Maintains clean and functional equipment.
    • Collaborates with management for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

    The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in caring for patients across all age groups, possess knowledge of growth and development, and be able to identify and address patient needs effectively.


    DIRECTION/SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
    Neurodiagnostic Specialist, Department Manager, Medical Director, Staff Neurologists.



    • Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Program.
    • Familiarity with departmental policies and procedures.
    • Proficiency in computer operations, networking, and videography.
    • Understanding of medications used in critical care and epilepsy management.
    • Experience with EEG equipment and related tools.
    • Aptitude in manual dexterity, equipment operation, and data collection.
    • Ability to adapt to new medical technologies.

    SHIFT:
    ~48hrs Bi-Weekly - Day Shift
    ~ On-Call rotation (Overnights or Weekends) - Shared with other team members.



    Role involves moving equipment regularly and working in a laboratory setting, with occasional exposure to stressful situations in critical care units and chemicals.
