    Job Title: Supply Chain Logistics Specialist

    Pay Rate: $54 - $58/Hour

    The Supply Chain Logistics Specialist role is crucial for supporting the growth of Clinical and Commercial manufacturing operations by collaborating with internal teams, freight forwarding partners, Cold Chain solutions partners, and contract manufacturing partners for global transportation of raw materials, API, and commercial product to support drug product manufacturing and distribution.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates Multi-Modal Shipments: Prepares shipping documentation for domestic or international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations.
    • Selects Batches for Shipping: Monitors re-order points with drug product Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and identifies optimal shipment schedules.
    • Resolves Discrepancies: Identifies and resolves discrepancies in global shipments, initiating the resolution process with suppliers as needed.
    • Determines Material Disposals and Sample Shipments: Ensures timely and accurate processing of material disposals and sample shipments.
    • Maintains Record-Tracking: Compiles pertinent data in logistics owned computerized systems (Oracle, SAP) and provides recommendations for best practices.
    • Analyzes Shipment Information: Reviews routine and non-routine information regarding shipment tracking to support Supply Chain activities, including customs invoice accuracy, import documentation, and material deliveries.
    • Makes Recommendations: Provides recommendations affecting supply sources, product handling, and other related areas.
    • Initiates or Receives Requests: Performs timely transactions in system to reflect changes in inventory replenishment, shipments, invoicing, and stock movement.
    • Tracks Progress: Communicates progress with department supervisors, readjusts schedules, and informs about changes according to production progress, change orders, product availability, or other conditions impacting timelines.

    Requirements:

    • Education and Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in a related field and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Works on assignments that range from routine to semi-routine in nature, requiring independent action and initiative to resolve problems and develop recommendations.
    • Communication Skills: Possesses good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Technical Skills: Demonstrates working knowledge with intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Critical Thinking: Able to develop solutions to moderately non-routine problems.
    • Manufacturing Knowledge: Applies working knowledge of manufacturing and production operations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) on a daily basis.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Supply Chain Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of Supply Chain Logistics, Transportation & Trade Compliance/Customs/FDA.
    • Certifications: APICS certification and/or relevant course work.
    • Software Proficiency: Oracle and/or SAP knowledge.
    • Cold Chain Knowledge: Knowledge of cold chain and pharmaceutical shipping requirements.
