    Overview:

    Job Overview:

    The Food Storeroom Clerk provides outstanding customer service. Responsible for assisting with inventory control of food and supplies through accurate accounting of standing inventory, items received, and items issued, and for perishable inventory rotation. Assures that all items received are in good condition, at proper temperature, and according to Purchasing Department specifications

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Provides Food and Beverage Purchaser with inventories, and communicates shortages and "out of stocks" to all affected areas and supervisors. Lists these on communication board.
    • Receives daily deliveries according to inventory/order print out and bills.
    • Checks all items for accuracy by weight, count, grade, brand, size, and expiration date.
    • Refuses or returns all damaged or non-compliant goods.
    • Dates all items received and stores rapidly according to perishability or condition received e.g. frozen and refrigerated first.
    • Performs daily and weekly cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, storeroom, loading dock, and rolling stock
    • Follows dress code and all personal hygiene standards including: handwashing, use of gloves/hair covers, no gum, cleanliness, and jewelry.
    • Perform and maintain quarterly inventory with Purchaser
    • Does daily, weekly and monthly cleaning projects (stainless equipment, walls, floors etc.)
    • Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate
    • Holds self to a higher standard, being a role model at all times
    • Performs other tasks as directed
    • Works with a high sense of urgency at all times
    • Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
    • Follows all state department of health rules and regulations are followed

    Qualifications/Skills

    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
    • Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Basic written and verbal communication skills
    • Organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Able to work days, evenings, holidays and weekends

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Prefer 1 year work experience.
    • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required

    Language Skills:

    • Ability to comprehend and communicate either verbal in English and non-verbal methods.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English and respond in writing
    • Ability to read and interpret general business document or governmental regulations.

    Mathematical Skills:

    • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.

    Reasoning Ability:

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
