    Job Summary:

    Gathers and records clinical and test data relevant to the screening process. Works with audiologists, performing clinical and administrative tasks. Performs routine audiologic services that do not require the skill level of a licensed audiologist.

    Job Requirements:

    Education and Work Experience:
    • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
    • Associate's/Technical Degree in audiology or speech language pathology or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
    • Experience with performing hearing screens: Preferred
    Licenses/Certifications:
    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Preferred
    Essential Functions:
    • Carries out the hearing screening of patients, including newborns. Records clinical and test data. Repairs hearing aids, prepares patients for testing, and maintains equipment to assist the audiologist in clinical research.
    • Ensures the safety and security of equipment at all times and reports any problems at the earliest opportunity.
    • Informs and communicates with the audiologist on all aspects of hearing screening.
    • Performs office tasks which may include record-keeping, answering phones, and other administrative and clerical support functions.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
