    We are searching for committed and passionate program instructors to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities in a yearlong expanded learning program for students in TK-8th grade designed to support socio-emotional development and academic growth through fun and engaging enrichment activities.

    As a Program Instructor, you will lead and mentor youth in an out-of-school time setting. Be part of an innovative and creative team that impacts the community by making a difference in youth lives. This yearlong position is part-time during school days and full time during non-school working days. Our ideal candidate may have previous experience in babysitting or nannying, is interested in a career in education or being a teacher, or have background in early childhood education.

    Benefits:

    • Pay rate: $20-$25/hr DOE & skillset

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must have 48 college units OR pass the NCLB exam (Instructional Aid/Paraprofessional certification, proctored by BACR)
    • Must pass criminal background check & TB test clearance
    • Previous experience working with youth is highly recommended
    • Available to work during program hours
    • Ability to reliably commute to San Rafael
    • Basic understanding of early childhood education for those desiring to work with TK- K students
    • Ability to commit to full duration of school year (preferred)
    • Bilingual Spanish/english (preferred)

    Responsibilities:

    • Build positive relationship with students
    • Create, plan, and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities for students
    • Assist students with socio-emotional and academic skill development
    • Promote a safe and positive emotional climate in the classroom and on the campus
